If your Chevy Cobalt headlights are dimming or seem to be throwing out less light then normal there are a few things that could be wrong. The most common culprit will just be a bulb that is ready to be replaced but there can be other issues. Here are a just a couple of things you might want to check:

Light bulb – If the light bulb is burning out there is not much to do but replace it. You can buy replacement bulbs at most auto supply stores and even places such as Wal-Mart or Target. You can usually install these bulbs yourself with a screwdriver or if you are not able to manage it you can find a professional to do it. Many times lights will start to dim when they are ready to go bad and eventually they will just go out completely. It is best to replace it before it burns out completely.

Electrical Issues – If a new light bulb does not fix the problem it may be that you are up against an electrical problem. There are numerous things that can cause these types of issues so it is best to have your vehicle looked at by a professional. They can determine where the issue originates and fix it; in some cases these issues can be quite serious.

When your Cobalt headlights start to dim you should replace the bulbs and have a pro look at it if that does not solve the problem.
