Has your friend decided to get engaged? As your friend and her partner decide to step into this life of togetherness and interdependency, you need to think of getting them an appropriate gift, a gift to tell them how pleased you are at their decision, a gift to reassure them of this new life, a gift that may or may not last but will become a sign of their togetherness during the years to come.Here are some time tested and some totally “out of the box” ideas for wedding engagement gifts.

• A Set of Diamond Rings for the Newly Engaged: This may be a little extravagant but if you don’t mind spending, then go for it. Gifts like these can say a lot about how much you care for your friends. Well, don’t go overboard with your purchase! Diamonds are still very expensive.
• Another Conventional Gift: Another nice engagement gift you can give to your friend on his/her engagement is an exotic bottle of wine. We can’t talk about the brands here but if you search online you will be able to come across a number of exotic aged wine bottles to choose from. Make it red if you can!
• Diamond Jewellery: No diamond is big enough for a friend who stood by you, solid like a diamond, through thick and thin. Diamond jewellery for men and women are perfect as engagement gifts. It won’t be hard to find diamond jewellery for women but for men… well, you can get your male friend things like pendants, studded rings and designer earrings.
• A Gift Basket: What were you thinking? We don’t, at all, mean a gift basket of eatables. Set up a nice gift basket for your friend. For the girl, get an exotic collection of spa products, perfumes, lip glosses, handbags, wristwatches, exotic chocolates and some home decorative items. For the boy put a few nice ties, cufflinks, a cell phone, and clothing apparels in the basket.
• This One is the best: If you have an old picture of both of them (if not click one from a high megapixel camera!), get it converted into a life size portrait and gift it to them on this special day.

This is for all you guys and/or girls out there looking for the perfect first date gift to give to that special someone. Now, I know you probably are worried, because you don’t want to buy a gift that looks cheap, but you don’t want to go to the extreme either. You want a gift to be something simple and sweet that will make your date smile. And, yes I have a few ideas to share with you on what this special gift could be.

Now, you and your date are probably more than a bit nervous for your night out and a gift can be a great way to break the ice. By surprising your date with a simple gift such as flowers, or some other trinket that fits their personality is the best way to go. The first date gift will immediately break any initial tension or uneasiness in the air.

If you are not sure about your date’s personality, it is never wrong to go with flowers. No matter what kind of girl you are, you like to get flowers, even if you won’t admit it. Another great idea, might be candy, however, in this day and age, many women are worried about their figures and may not be very excited by candy…you will have to be the judge on that one.

However, if you do know something about the interests of your date, for example, your date may like to read you could bring them a journal or a fancy pen. By giving a personalized gift your date will know that you were listening when they were telling you about their interests. This will win you major brownie points my friend.
